Misson

Primarily, to empower women in childbirth by providing relaxing and respectful labor and delivery support, giving them the information, tools, and space they need to create the birth experience they desire.

 

Secondarily, to increase awareness of childbirth issues within my community, especially regarding the benefits of  labor support. 

Birth Philosophy

I believe that birth, at its core, is a natural process that women are equipped physically and emotionally to experience and to excell at.  I believe that, with continuous support, your vision of a successful labor and delivery can be met. I consider it my responsibility to help create an atmosphere in which you can give birth in tranquility and joy.

Valkyrie?

Valkyries are known as handmaidens of the god Odin in Norse mythology. Their main task was to conduct the souls of valiant warriors to eternal feasting in the god's hall.  In modern art they are usually depicted as armored women of great beauty and strength, and I believe that a woman in labor exudes that same strength and beauty.
